Description
Individually hand-crafted winter snow silver birch coaster, made from fused glass with blue background and white and pearlised-effect paint. Ideal for bringing the beautiful colours of winter into the home, each one is unique and would make a lovely gift for someone who loves beautiful winter landscapes. These are available in a free cute white gift box if 2 or more are purchased.
The coasters start as clear glass, onto which I sift a gorgeous Egyptian blue glass powder, to give a softly-tinted background and then fired.
After this, I paint on the moon and snowy background, as well as the background silver birches using pearl-effect glass enamel paint and fire again.
Finally, I apply the last layer of silver birches and foreground touches with enamel and fire one more time.
Each coaster is approximately 10cm square and approximately 3mm in depth, though this will vary a little, due to the hand-crafted nature of the coasters. The painting of the silver birches will also vary as they are all painted individually.
The coasters have clear plastic bumps underneath to keep them stable and safe for your mugs or glasses.
The white gift boxes, available free if you order 2 or more coasters, are made in the UK from recycled materials. I use my lime green tissue to wrap the coasters in the box, but if you would prefer a different colour, please add comments to your order. I’m also happy to add a hand-written message if requested.
