Description
Fused glass round hand-painted dragonfly suncatcher with cyan grassy background.
Each dragonfly is created as a glass wafer, fired and painted before being fused to the background. The dragonflies contain some iridised glass, so can show a subtle rainbow effect at times. Changing light and time of day will give this piece a range of different appearances.
I used the British Emperor dragonfly for my inspiration, because of my love of turquoises and greens.
These suncatchers are individually cut, drilled and ground, resulting in an organic circular shape and dragonflies are individually painted, so will vary slightly from the photos.
